The second Gen Landcruiser Prado (J95) is a unique Toyota SUV never previously offered in the USA. The J95 was a very popular vehicle over seas, larger than our domestic 4runner but smaller than the Sequoia. Its size was an obvious choice for many enthusiasts. This generation was also popular due to the large amount of creature comforts that were now available. Options like; Premium Sound, Off-road Gauges, Automatic climate controls, Rear climate control, Woodgrain Accents were available. These features brought a refined interior to the rugged exterior.
There were serval engine and transmission options as well. This unit is equipped with the tried and true 3RZ. A popular 4 cylinder engine here in the united states that was offered in the Tacoma and the 4runner. Because of its Popularity with the Toyota community the 3RZ has full parts catalog with maintenance parts available nation wide. This nimble Prado has amazing on and off-road capabilities. Its 4 cylinder engine has the power needed for over coming obstacles whilst enjoying an economic 30 mpg on the road. That what makes this Prado special, it looks exotic but has the domestic engine.
The Body is mostly stock with its fender flairs and bumpers. We recently replaced the headlights and grill with the retro circular buckets and "Toyota" mesh grill. These vehicles were never available in the USA. They are a similar size to the 4runner, with three rows and tried and true 3RZ combo. This nimble Prado has amazing on and off-road capabilities.
